Garry's Deer Meat Chili

 

2 lbs of ground deer meat

lb spicy sausage

2/3 cup or 1 packet of Mudflap's Chili Mix Seasoning

1 large onion (finely chopped)

(4) cloves of garlic ( finely chopped)

1 can tomato

1 can pinto beans

1 can kidney beans

1 bell pepper (chopped)

2 tablespoons bacon grease

2 cans water (use empty tomato can to measure)  

Brown ground meat and sausage in (2) tablespoons bacon grease. 

Continue cooking for a few more minutes and add the rest of ingredients except for the beans.

Add water last. (You may want add more water later)

Cover and simmer for five hours or longer

Add beans during the last 30 minutes of cooking

Note: Chili is good served with small bowls of chopped onions and grated cheese.

Options: Ground beef in place of deer and combine your own choice of beans to make the chili
